1. Who we are

MooreTech Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17293227, with our registered office at 27 Balmoral Road, Liverpool, L6 8NB.

We are in the process of registering with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); our registration number will be published here once issued. For any privacy questions, contact us at mooretech98@gmail.com.

2. The data we collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact data — when you complete our contact form or email us: your name, email address, and any details you choose to include in your message.
  • Usage & technical data — collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies: IP address (often anonymised), browser type, device information, pages visited, and how you interact with the site.
  • Communications — records of correspondence between you and us.

We do not intentionally collect special category data through this website. Please do not send us sensitive personal information via the contact form.

3. How and why we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes, relying on the lawful bases shown:

  • To respond to your enquiries — lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us) and, where relevant, taking steps to enter into a contract.
  • To operate, secure and improve our website — lawful basis: legitimate interests in running a safe, effective website.
  • To measure website performance via analytics — lawful basis: consent (collected through our cookie banner).
  • To comply with legal obligations — lawful basis: legal obligation.

4. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies, including non-essential analytics cookies that we only set with your consent. You can manage your preferences at any time. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted third parties who process data on our behalf, such as:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • Analytics providers (e.g. our chosen analytics platform);
  • Email and communication service providers;
  • Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

All processors are bound by contracts requiring them to safeguard your data and use it only as instructed.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) / Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. Enquiry correspondence is typically retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is required for legal or contractual reasons (for example, records relating to a project we deliver are kept for up to 6 years to meet legal and tax obligations), after which it is securely deleted.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access a copy of your personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
  • object to or restrict our processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact mooretech98@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk), though we’d appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our measures regularly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
